Bryn Rosa...... then and now
One of the first houses to be built in the newly developed Victorian resort of Llandudno, Bryn Rosa was first occupied in the mid 1800's by Miss Mary Hughes, Aunt of William Morris Hughes. He lived here with her following the death of his mother in 1869. In later life he became Prime Minister of Australia. The house has only had 5 owners, the longest residents being the Hindle Family (1876 - 1950).
Nowadays, a Listed Building within a Conservation Area, the house has been tastefully updated to include all modern facilities without losing its Victorian charm. There are 5 en-suite rooms with all modern amenities, including digital Freeview TV. One has a linked sitting room and one is a ground floor single. Free WiFi is offered throughout the house.
Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and is served in the Dining Room which has a bay window overlooking the front garden, with its slate paved sitting area facing the distant mountains. The Visitors' Lounge has an open fire, plenty of books and soft leather sofas and chairs; an ideal place to unwind after a busy day shopping or sightseeing.
Bryn Rosa is featured on The Best of Llandudno, is 4 star graded, has the Gold Award for Hygiene, Golden Daffodil award and a recommendation certificate from Llandudno Town Council. To ensure a peaceful relaxing holiday, children and/or pets are not accommodated. A disability statement is available on request.
To the rear, enough security lit car parking is provided for every room, with access via steps through the back garden.
Ideally situated between the two bays, in the lee of the Great Orme, Bryn Rosa is an ideal place to base your holiday. Only minutes from the town, with all its restaurants and shops, five minutes from the North Shore and pier, and close to the tram station where the Victorian cable hauled tram will gently take you to the summit.
